For my Tumblr Dumb Tweets @ Celebrities, I search Twitter for a celebrity's Twitter name to find people who replied to them with inane crap.  I haven't fully fleshed out my theory of why people do this (other than just "people are fucking idiots"), and it hasn't really been thoroughly examined in a NY Times Styles section piece fully about how all of a sudden people actually believe they're friends with celebrities through Twitter.  Imagine back when people would send in actual fan mail letters through the mail to movie stars. Now they're under the delusion that famous people actually are interested in them, and there's this whole weird subgenre of people asking celebrities to follow them back (see: waitingforbeiber.com).

So this morning I wanted to see what people wrote to Snooki from the Jersey Shore, and what I found was everyone who dressed up as her for Halloween was sending her TwitPics of themselves in their costumes.

And so.  Here is just the very tip of the iceberg of people who send Snooki messages with their crappy cell phone cameras of themselves in Snooki costumes.  These were all collected from about a 30 minute period of time, people are at this moment continuing to send her these photos all day.
